Panasonic and their Toughbook lineup of portable devices required a Microsite aimed at showcasing use-cases across four key sectors. Manufacturing, Warehousing, Logistics and Retail.
The project needed seven different 3D animated scenes which would loop perfectly and seamlessly. Each would also need considered for the Microsite’s responsive, mobile version.
Modelling, character rigging and animation were all created in Maxon Cinema 4D and rendered using OTOY’s OctaneRender. Compositing and finishing touches were carried out in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Client
Panasonic
What Was Required?
Design, 3D Modelling, Animation, Compositing
Software Used
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Maxon Cinema 4D, OTOY OctaneRender
Process
Planning, Asset Creation & Modelling
Panasonic required their microsite to have a great visual representation of the four sectors their products bring value to. From concept artwork the scenes were created in Maxon Cinema 4D. Any Toughbook products required were modelled, mounted and put in the hands of the characters within the scenes.
Process
3D Animation & Rendering
Character rigging and animation brought the scenes to life. One key aspect of the animation was the requirement for a seamless loop. Each scene lasts 10 seconds, are cropped and rendered in a much more square aspect ratio for the mobile version of the microsite.

Compositing & Editing
Any additional elements were added in Adobe After Effects. A little bit of help with the seamless loop was also done at this stage. Colour grading and compressed exporting was carried out in Adobe Premiere Pro.
